Advisory

Board of directors reviewing a governance decision in Gaborone

Advisory Services

What Advisory Work Looks Like

Advisory engagements are short and pointed. A question comes up — often with a deadline attached — and the organization needs a considered, independent answer before it acts.

We are brought in when the stakes are high enough that getting it wrong is expensive, but the work is too narrow to justify a full consultancy assignment.

Where Organizations Use Us

Situation
What We Do
Board decisions
Review a proposed resolution, transaction or policy change for legal and governance exposure before the board commits to it.
Employment matters
Regulatory correspondence
Data protection questions
A clause, an indemnity or a liability cap that somebody should look at before signature.
Governance structure
Committee terms of reference, delegation of authority, reporting lines that have drifted from the constitutional documents.

How It Works

1. Initial conversation

You describe the situation. We tell you whether this is advisory work, a consultancy assignment, or something you can resolve internally. No charge.

2. Scope and fee

We confirm in writing what we will look at, what you will receive, and what it will cost. Fixed fee wherever the scope allows it.

3. The work

We review the documents and the facts, and where necessary speak to the people involved.

4. The output

A written position in plain language: where you stand, what your options are, and what we would do. Followed by a conversation, because written advice always raises questions.

Every service and course can be delivered online or in-house and rebuilt around your own policies and sector. Tell us what you are dealing with, and we will tell you whether we are the right fit.
